The town on its peninsula holds the Balatlar building complex, the Pervane medrese, the historic prison and the Yakupağa mansion, close together, with the Hamsilos nature park outside it.
Durağan, at the southern end, has two rock tomb sites near one another; between there and the coast are the basalt columns and the İnaltı cave, at Boyabat and Ayancık.
Sinop also holds two monument oaks, at Türkeli and Ayancık, and the Topalçam nature park at Boyabat, none of which is on this route. What each place is, and who says so, is on its own page.
