Our compilation for Çorum, not an official route. It is a province most travellers pass through on the way somewhere else, and the reason to stop is Boğazköy, the Hittite capital and the only place here inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Şapinuva at Ortaköy is the other Hittite site on the list, out east of the town and far enough from the rest to need a morning of its own.
The town itself has the Ottoman bridge at Koyunbaba, the great mosque and the han, close enough to walk between. The two museums are where the finds from both Hittite sites are kept, and the Sıklık nature park and the Akşemseddin mosque at Osmancık complete the list.
