Kefe lies on the asphalt road linking Yatağan to some of the villages of the Honaz district of Denizli. It stands at 1,100 metres, among black pine, red pine and juniper.
The municipality completed the infrastructure and buildings — electricity, water, tent and picnic grounds, lavatories, showers, a restaurant, a shop, a butcher and various sports grounds — and the plateau has served domestic tourism since 2000.
Events are held here in the first week of August each year. Yatağan itself holds an important place in knife making, and the town reinforces that alongside its tourism each August with the knife-making and Kefe plateau festival.
