The International Contemporary Ceramic Arts Museum opened on 9 November 2024 inside Sanat Sokağı, the art street in Eskişehir's historic Odunpazarı quarter — which makes it one of the newest museums in a city that already has an unusual number of them.
The collection holds 122 works by 86 artists, Turkish and foreign, including pieces from the collection of the ceramicist Zehra Cobanli. It also gathers work by artists who took part in the 'Fircanin Sirdaki Izi' symposium that Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality ran in earlier years.
What separates it from a straight gallery hang is that the making is on show too: alongside the finished pieces, visitors can look at the materials and the techniques that go into producing ceramic work. Ticket prices were not published at the time of writing; check with the museum.
