The house is open to visitors as the Atatürk House and Ethnography Museum. It belonged to Mustafa Vasfi Süsoy, an infantry captain from Tokat who was aboard the Bandırma with Atatürk and became a member of parliament after the republic was declared.
Atatürk visited Tokat several times during the years of the national struggle, and on the fourth of those visits, on 25 September 1925, he stayed in this house with his wife Latife Hanım. It is at Devegörmez Sokak No: 27, in the Devegörmez quarter.
