The Abdulmuttalip dervish lodge, also called the Âhî Muhyiddîn lodge, stands on the Soğukpınar road in the Mahmutpaşa quarter of central Tokat. The building carries two inscriptions. It was built by Abdullah bin Muhyi in the time of the Ilkhanid ruler Abu Said Bahadur Khan, in the Seljuk period; Abdullah bin Muhyiddin died in 1318 and was buried in the tomb here.
Entry is through the door on the north front. The lodge is roofed with a wooden beamed ceiling and has a lantern for light, with a pool at the centre of the space. Of its two doors, the one at the southern corner leads into the tomb.
The tomb is square in plan, covered by a dome carried on Turkish triangles, with windows in the lower part of its north, south and west walls; the south window has been closed and the north one turned into a door.
The building holds painted decoration and tilework of plant motifs. The geometric ornament is in the blind niches on the faces of the Turkish triangles in the central space.
