The Tire Municipality Kuvayı Milliye and Zeybek Museum was founded in April 2023 and, in the municipality's own description, is the first and only zeybek museum in Türkiye and the first and only Kuvayı Milliye museum in İzmir. It occupies the historic Dr Nihat Bulguç mansion on Türk Ocağı Caddesi in Tire.
The building has two floors and the division between them is the museum's structure: the lower floor is given to the zeybeks — their history across centuries and the culture they carried — and the upper to the period of the National Struggle. The themed rooms hold original weapons, clothing, accessories, military equipment and ephemera belonging to zeybeks and to Kuvayı Milliye fighters, presented with mannequins dressed exactly to the conditions of their periods and with detailed information panels.
There is also a research side: hundreds of academic sources, thousands of photographs and close to ten thousand archive documents are available to researchers here. The museum is open to visitors every day.
