The Süleyman Tower is an Ottoman building on the Mediterranean shore west of the Yumurtalık district, south of Adana. It stands two kilometres from the centre of Yumurtalık and eighty-five from Adana.
It was built in 1536 for Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent as a sea watchtower. Old Yumurtalık, the ancient Ayaş, was a busy trading port, and the tower was raised to give early warning against pirates who might raid it.
The building is five-sided with narrow observation windows. Because it was made for military use it is also known as the armed tower of Ayaş.
