The mill associated with Şeyh Hamid-i Veli, known as Somuncu Baba, is at Gürün in Sivas province, and what is known about it comes from an endowment deed of 1398. According to that document, when Somuncu Baba and Şeyh Cosak Taceddin came to Telin they drew up a formal deed covering the properties there, and it was confirmed by the judge of the Kadı Burhaneddin beylik. After the praise of God and the blessing on the Prophet, the deed describes the properties of the endowment it established, whose purpose was to give soup to travellers passing through the village: a lodge, a mosque and two watermills.
The mill ground wheat for the people of the district until the 1970s, then fell out of use and stood derelict for years. Rebuilding was begun by the Es-Seyyid Osman Hulusi Efendi Foundation in 2023, and the mill opened again in September 2024. It is in the Karşıyaka quarter of Gürün.
