The Sızır waterfall lies in the town of Sızır in the Gemerek district of Sivas, on the Göksu, one of the branches of the Kızılırmak. It stands about seven hundred metres south of Sızır in green country.
The springs rising in the area called Kırkgöz gather to form the Göksu stream. Part of that water goes to the Sızır hydroelectric plant and part falls over high rocks to make the waterfall. The fall has been declared a second-degree natural conservation site.
The waterfall is used by local people for recreation. There is a family tea garden and a restaurant here, and the municipality has opened the Galip Ulutaş recreation ground.
