This fountain in Kahramanmaraş was built between 1914 and 1916 by İsmail Kemal Bey, the governor of Maraş, and takes its name from the Şeyh Adil cemetery nearby. It has come down keeping its original character.
It is built of fine-dressed stone in a yellowish tone, measuring 3.10 by 3.35 by 6.45 metres outside, and was made as a square fountain with three faces. Two round-arched niches, 0.80 metres deep and two metres wide, are set in the southern face, which is the main front, and every niche in the fountain has its own tap. The fountain is plain in its general lines but its arch forms and columns carry features of the Baroque, and the building inscription has a star and crescent motif worked at the head of each line. It stands on Şeyh Adil Meydanı.
