Jewellery making is one of the traditional crafts of Kahramanmaraş and has grown into an important trade there.
In the workshops of the jewellers' market, master jewellers work with both traditional and modern tools to make pieces of high craft: the twisted chain known as Maraş burması, woven mesh, honeycomb work, caged cord, wedding bands, necklaces, bracelets and belts of various kinds, sold within the country and abroad.
The market is in the Kurtuluş quarter of Dulkadiroğlu and is easily reached from anywhere in the city by minibus, public bus or taxi.
