The mosque in the Kurtuluş quarter of Dulkadiroğlu was built in the name of Selim I; its own date of building is not given, and the only date on it is a repair inscription of the early nineteenth century, over the courtyard gate.
It is built of cut stone, with wooden roofs over both the porch for latecomers and the main space. In the space to the left of the porch, under a pointed vault, there is a rectangular tomb. It is easily reached from any part of the city by minibus, public bus or taxi.
