Attached to a primary school built around Turkish music, this is a thematic museum that tries to touch every part of its subject: the history of the music itself, how the instruments work, the history of sound recording, and the composers, compositions, forms and rhythmic cycles that hold the repertoire together. The school describes it as the only museum of its kind and says it was arranged with a good deal of technology and to international museum practice. Visits are by reservation.
