Yalova has a museum devoted to yoghurt, and the municipality states that it is the first of its kind in Turkey and one of only a handful anywhere. It is registered with the approval of the ministry of culture and tourism, dated 4 January 2024, and receives visitors within the premises of the Yalova chamber of commerce and industry.
The museum was set up in memory of Muzaffer Ahmet Turna, who began production in 1948 and built Turnalar Yoğurt into one of the town's known names; the aim, as the municipality puts it, is to pass on his sixty-two years of work and craft. Thirty-eight objects are displayed, all of them bearing on how yoghurt was made.
