The site at Günbuldu has been heavily damaged: of what the source calls a settlement with the look of an ancient city, what remains today is a mihrab, stones carved with crosses, and graves. Two ram statues taken from here are now in the provincial centre.
The caves and remains lie about 400 metres outside the village. Shelters, a temple, places of worship, rooms and caves are cut into the rock, and traces of different faiths can be seen in the shelters and the places of worship. Günbuldu is 12 kilometres from the district centre of Diyadin.
