Of the two oaks protected in Eskişehir province, the Kepez tree is the older and the shorter: 475 years estimated against the Piribaba oak's 350, and 12 metres tall against its 16.5. It is a Türkiye oak, registered on 23 May 2001 on 0.01 hectares, and its general appearance is recorded as well-formed.
Every monument-tree page the Eskişehir directorate publishes gives the trunk diameter as exactly 1.30 metres — this juniper, its two neighbours, both of the province's protected oaks and the hazel at Karageyikli alike, whatever their species, age or height. A figure repeated identically across trees that differ in every other respect is not a measurement of any one of them, so it should not be relied on.
The tree grows on mid-slope ground at Erenköy village in İnönü district, under a climate the page describes as between western and central Anatolian. Capacity is 20 visitors and one vehicle, with hours of 08:00 to 18:00.
The route from Eskişehir runs through İnönü to Erenköy, 72 kilometres.
