The Kamilet beech is the larger of Artvin province's two monument trees by a wide margin. Both were registered on 6 September 2002 on 1,000 square metres each, but where the Melodere spruce measures 0.76 metres across, this oriental beech is 3.08 metres, with a girth of 9.70 metres and a height of 42 metres. Its age is given as about 300 years — twice that of the spruce.
It is a Fagus orientalis, standing at the Kamilet locality in Erenköy village, Murgul district. Unlike the spruce it is not inside a national park. The page's wildlife section is left empty.
