The mosque at Cizre carries the name of the prophet Noah, and the source states that he lies buried here, in the basement of the building; it describes him as the second father of humanity since the flood.
The upper floor of the mosque had collapsed over time, and in the repairs a flat concrete slab was laid, which took the building away from its original form. Both the tomb and the mosque have since been restored. It is reached by city transport.
