The tomb stands where Feshane Caddesi meets Kızıldeğirmen Sokak. It is octagonal, in well-cut stone, its dome set on an eight-sided drum, and it takes light from two tiers of windows. There is no inscription; inside is a single wooden cenotaph, and the interior decoration has been lost.
Hubbi Hatun — the name means beloved — was the granddaughter of Yahya Efendi and became a companion of Selim II after her first husband died on the pilgrimage road in 1551. She held considerable influence at court and was later married to Molla Mehmed Vusuli Efendi, whose own tomb stands beside hers.
She wrote: ghazels, kasides and a manuscript of some three thousand couplets called Hurşid ü Cemşid. The source notes that the building has no builder's inscription and suggests it must be Sinan's work — a judgement, not a record.
