The mosque records itself in its inscriptions, and no date of building appears among them: the source says it has three, and then describes four. The one over the outer door says the mosque was repaired in 1729 by a man named Hacı Halil; the inner-door inscription says Hacı Halil Ağa had this old mosque repaired.
The other two are about the minaret. One at its base, written by the poet Zahir, remarks that its place is very high and that it was built in a pleasant spot; the one over the door onto the balcony mentions a man called Muhtar Beg and records the minaret's repair in 1851. The mosque is on 1190. Sokak in the Türkmeydani quarter and is reached by city transport.
