The mosque stands in the Hırka quarter of the Tavas district, a kilometre off the Denizli–Muğla road within the village. It is square in plan and domed, built of roughly dressed stone with cut stone and rubble in places.
It was built by Tavaslızade Osman Ağa. There is an inscription in the porch, but because only the last two digits of the year were written on it the exact date cannot be worked out. According to scholars the architectural manner and the ornament point to the building having been made between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
The mosque comes under the mufti's office of Tavas and remains open for worship.
