What gives this plain mosque its importance is the mihrab, of the type made in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries; the rest of the building has been renewed.
It is a simple structure with mudbrick walls, timber tie beams and a tiled roof, with a wooden minaret at the north-east. The women's gallery and the ceiling were renewed in recent centuries and are now covered in oil paint. It is on Sarikadin Sokak in the Hacettepe Sümer quarter.
