Göktürk Pond Nature Park lies within the Eyüpsultan district of İstanbul and takes in the Göktürk pond and the ground around it. The area was declared a nature park in 2011 and covers 79.16 hectares. It takes its name from the Göktürk quarter, to which it belongs.
The pond is under the oversight of the İstanbul water and sewerage administration, and the water is used for irrigation in the surrounding country.
The woodland around the pond is mainly oak and hornbeam. Within the park the plants recorded include manna ash, maritime pine, oriental plane, oriental alder, black pine, hornbeam, oriental beech, strawberry tree, cherry plum, tree heath, bay laurel, bramble, ivy, forsythia and butcher's broom.
Among the mammals here are the red squirrel, wild boar, jackal, fox, hare, hedgehog, mole and martens.
The birds recorded include the lesser spotted eagle, the short-toed eagle, the sparrowhawk and the common buzzard, along with swifts, blackbird, goldfinch, chaffinch, siskin, magpie, sparrow, jay and gull. Among the reptiles are the spur-thighed tortoise and the Italian wall lizard, and various frogs and snakes live here as well.
