Çukur Hamam stands on the southern skirt of Kahramanmaraş castle, inside the urban conservation area.
It has been repaired many times and, the provincial directorate says, has kept its original character through them. From written sources it estimates the bath was built in the second half of the fifteenth century, under the Dulkadiroğlu principality.
In plan it belongs to the group of baths with four iwans and corner cells serving as private washing rooms.
The 2023 earthquakes struck this province and the page does not record the building's present condition.
