Çavdarhisar Barajı Tabiat Parkı covers 12 hectares south-east of the Çavdarhisar dam on the Bedir stream in Kütahya, and was declared on 25 March 2021. Two things to know first: the dam was built for irrigation rather than being a natural lake, and the park has not yet opened to visitors — its facilities are at the investment stage and no activities take place there. Its base maps have been prepared, its development plan was approved on 25 January 2022 and its site plan on 12 August 2022.
The ground is a regeneration and afforestation area rather than old forest, and the Directorate describes the black pine regeneration and planting here as successful. Oak and juniper also occur, and the ground flora includes spurge, chamomile and thyme.
The animals recorded are Persian squirrel, brown hare, hedgehog, fox, snake-eyed lizard, grass snake, tree frog, green toad, common toad, turtle dove, collared dove, house sparrow and barn swallow.
The site lies 63.5 kilometres south-west of Kütahya and is reached by road; visitors make their own way there.
