The monastery complex known as Ctouts stands on the north side of an island in Lake Van, and it is made up of a church attributed to Saint John, a jamatun to the west of it and a chapel to its north-east.
The island lies off Dibekdüzü village in the central district of Van. The source does not say how the crossing to it is made.
