Buzluk Tabiat Parkı covers 51.6 hectares at the Buzluk locality near Bayat village in the Durağan district of Sinop. It became, in the Directorate's count, the 250th nature park in the country, designated under the National Parks Law on 23 August 2020.
Three things brought it protection: the Buzluk cave, a hornbeam thought to be around 500 years old, and the viewpoints across the area, together with the day-use grounds already there. The stated aim of the designation is to meet the various demands on the site in a controlled and planned way and pass it on as a national inheritance.
Black pine, oak, hornbeam and beech grow here, and bear, wolf, roe deer, wild boar, squirrel, beech marten, hare, snakes, lizards and various birds are found in the area.
Facilities are a day-use area, an entrance control point and lavatories with a prayer room, with a stated capacity of 1,000 visitors and 100 vehicles. Picnicking, walking, trekking and outdoor events are what the park is used for, mostly by people from Sinop and mostly in spring and summer. The park stands on the Durağan–Dikmen road, 13.5 kilometres from Durağan, 125 from Sinop, 190 from Samsun, 345 from Ankara and 615 from İstanbul.
