The Buban chimneys are at Oguldere village, in the Sancak township of Bingöl, about 50 kilometres from the city centre. These pointed rock forms were made as floodwater running down the valley slopes and wind wore away a structure of tuff over long years.
They are used by campers as well as by people who come to photograph them.
