A Taurus cedar standing at the Kanıkaya locality near Barla, in the Senirkent district of Isparta, was declared a natural monument on 29 September 1994. The directorate records it at 320 years old, 15 metres tall, with a trunk 1.90 metres across and a girth of 5.70 metres — short for its bulk, which is what a cedar looks like when it has grown in the open rather than crowded in forest.
The protected plot around it is a quarter of a hectare. The directorate lists opening hours of 09:00 to 17:30 and a capacity of 12 visitors and four vehicles, which gives a fair idea of the scale of the place: this is a single tree with a little ground around it, not a park.
