Yenikent Park was laid out by the metropolitan municipality of Sakarya on 35 donums of ground at Yenikent, twelve kilometres from central Adapazarı. It is a park for using rather than looking at: basketball and volleyball courts and an area with fitness equipment, with 33,000 square metres of the site given over to green space and a walking path 1.5 kilometres long.
The park also has a cafe and restaurant of 680 square metres in all — 480 inside and a 200-square-metre veranda — seating 300 people and used for group meals as well as ordinary custom.
