The clock tower in the centre of Sungurlu was built in 1891 by the district governor Edip Bey. It has a square prismatic body of cut stone, with small round-arched windows on every floor except the second.
On the topmost floor is a wooden pavilion with wavy eaves; below it a round clock face on each of the four sides, and below that a balcony with iron railings. The source does not say whether the clocks are working.
