Serenler Tepesi Nature Park stands on a hill five kilometres from central Burdur, reached on the state road towards Acıpayam and Denizli. A ministerial approval declared it a nature park on 11 July 2011; its size is given as 38.40 hectares in the area record and 38.37 in the text.
The vegetation is dry Mediterranean hill cover: kermes oak with Grecian and prickly juniper between, black pine, and occasional red pine and cedar of Lebanon. Mole, brown hare, wild boar, hedgehog, wolf, jackal and fox are the mammals recorded.
The bird figures on the page describe the sub-basin rather than the park itself, and the directorate gives no total. It counts 82 waterbirds, 95 songbirds, 27 diurnal raptors and six nocturnal ones; separately it reports that 72 species are resident and seen in every period, 53 winter there, 58 summer there, and 27 pass through on spring or autumn migration.
The park is used for the day: picnicking, walking, trekking, orienteering, outdoor events and children's activities, on ground the directorate says people from Burdur and the surrounding provinces choose for recreation, mainly in spring and summer. Capacity is 1,144 visitors and 286 vehicles, and the gates are open from 08:30 to 17:30.
