Kovada Lake National Park lies south of Eğirdir in Isparta province, a natural extension of Lake Eğirdir, and it has been protected since 3 November 1970. It covers 6,534 hectares. The distance from Eğirdir is given as 29 kilometres in the text and 28 in the access note on the same page.
The lake reached its present shallow form through tectonic and karstic subsidence, with the valleys around it filling with alluvium. Building is strictly prohibited in the area, and the directorate says the only sounds are frogs and waterbirds. Birdwatching is what the park is best known for: there is an observation tower, and the count of waterbird species is given as 153 in one place on the page and more than 150 in another.
Besides birdwatching, the park is used for camping, walking and cycling on the trails around the lake, nature study along the route, and photography, which the directorate says is at its best in autumn when the leaves turn. There is a visitor information centre holding taxidermy specimens of wildlife from the area. Capacity is 300 visitors and 70 vehicles, and the gates are open from 08:30 to 21:00.
Entry is charged, on a tariff that sets separate rates for arriving on foot or by bicycle, by motorcycle or ATV, by car, minibus, midibus or coach. The page gives no date showing when those rates were set, so the amounts are not repeated here and should be checked before travelling. Getting there without a car means the hourly municipal bus between Isparta and Eğirdir from the village garage, then a taxi for the last stretch.
