Kırca is a wide plateau at 855 metres in the Geyve district of Sakarya, green and largely untouched, with mountain violets and box trees through the spring and summer. Walking from the plateau down the stream bed towards the Ali Fuat Paşa Kaymakamsuyu cave you pass maples of some value; the plateau itself opens out 600 metres beyond the main crossroads.
It is possible to carry on from here to the Sogucak plateau at Sapanca. Festivities are held on Kırca in summer, and because it is easy to reach it is busy at weekends. If you mean to go into the Kaymakamsuyu cave or take photographs there, bring a torch or a head lamp. The plateau is 40 kilometres from the city centre, by way of the Alifuatpasa township and the village of Meleksoruc.
