Kartaltepe Nature Park lies in the Kızılcahamam district of Ankara and covers ninety-three hectares. It was declared a nature park by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in 2011.
The park is about seventy-four kilometres from the centre of Ankara and seven and a half from the centre of Kızılcahamam. The land belongs to the state forests and lies in the transition belt between central Anatolia and the Black Sea, with a semi-humid climate.
About ninety-six per cent of the area is forest ecosystem and four per cent aquatic. There are two natural ponds within it. There are no tourist facilities in the park.
