Kafkasör lies eight kilometres from the centre of Artvin, on high ground among trees, and has been declared a Tourism Centre by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Small houses called bungalows on the plateau take visitors who want to stay.
The plateau festival held at the beginning of each summer is the busiest time to come: bull wrestling, folk dancing and live music, and a chance to see something of the culture of the district around. Coaches other than the largest reach it, as do minibuses and cars; during the festival the municipality runs minibuses up.
