İncekum Nature Park lies within the Alanya district of Antalya and was declared a nature park on 8 February 2016.
On the shore are kamenitzas, the solution pans formed by the action of carbonic-acid surface water on rock. Spread over about 13,240 square metres, these formations matter at both regional and national scale.
An olive-oil production site estimated at 1,800 years old has also been found within the park. The historic olive press, discovered in İncekum bay during the building of a hotel, has been taken under protection by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Specialists estimate that it was a production and loading area of the third century AD, but which ancient city it belonged to is not yet known; the ancient cities of Justinianapolis and Pisarissos stood in the region in the past.
Among the birds and reptiles recorded here are the tit, the Taurus wall creeper, the hoopoe, wood pigeon, turtle dove, little owl, eagle owl, middle spotted woodpecker, robin and crow, with the Mediterranean tortoise, the spiny-tailed and slender-fingered geckos and the stout lizard. The trees and shrubs include Calabrian and stone pine, sumac, oleander, terebinth, cypress, oak, bay, myrtle, eucalyptus, weeping willow, carob, acacia, strawberry tree, chinaberry, ash, maple, palm, sweetgum, plane, mulberry and figs.
