Bozikân Kalesi is at Kaleyolu village — also given as Bozikân — 25 kilometres north of Sason in Batman. The provincial directorate assigns it to the Byzantine period.
It is said, in the directorate's wording rather than as a finding, that the castle served to control this stretch of the silk road running from east to west.
One phrase on the page cannot be read with confidence: the castle is described as being among structures of four centuries, without making clear whether that means the fourth century or a span of four hundred years.
