The Bosnian Martyrs' Monument was built in Sakarya in 1997, with contributions from the Bosnia and Herzegovina Culture and Solidarity Association and the Adapazarı municipality of the day. In the words of the source, it was raised so that the genocide carried out by the Serbs against the Bosnian Muslims between 1992 and 1995 should not be forgotten, and should be recalled to coming generations.
The street in front of it was renamed Bosna Caddesi. The site is two kilometres from the city centre and is reached by city transport.
