The Bafra Museum stands in the centre of the town, in a three-storey building that once served as the old city club and was restored before the museum opened.
What is shown here are ethnographic works gathered from the Bafra region together with archaeological material recovered from the excavation at İkiztepe.
The displays are arranged around reconstructions reflecting the traditional way of life and the culture of Bafra.
The museum is at 11 Gazipaşa Avenue in the Gazipaşa quarter. Opening runs from half past eight in the morning until half past four in the afternoon; the doors stay shut on Mondays, and entry costs nothing.
