What stands at Adilcevaz today is ruins. The castle was built on steep rock at the shore of Lake Van, and it had a tower.
What it once held is known from written records rather than from what survives: the provincial directorate says those records show a mosque named for Süleyman Han, a powder magazine, grain stores, water cisterns, a tower for the military band, and seventy houses inside the walls.
